Treatment OptionsInpatient Rehab
During inpatient rehab that patient will enter a facility where they will live and receive medical care and support for a period of about 90 days. Inpatient rehab provides those suffering from pill addiction with the most monitoring and care while they are in treatment. Around-the-clock medical supervision is provided and the patient is able to focus every minute of their time on recovery. This type of rehab is ideal for those who suffer from pain pill addiction because it provides the recovering addict with a safe place where they can get the treatment that they need and it prevents them from relapsing which is very easy to do with the number of readily available pain pills that can be found on the streets.
Outpatient Rehab
Counseling and therapy is provided at an outpatient rehab program but the level of monitoring in these programs is limited. Patients are able to get some medical care and random drug testing provides for some monitoring but otherwise, the majority of the rehabilitation and recovery efforts are left up to the discretion of the patient. While this type of treatment is ideal for those who have already completed an inpatient rehab program, it’s not always the best choice for those who are heavily addicted to pain pills and who have already tried to quit on their own.
Holistic Rehab
Many inpatient rehab centers employ holistic rehab practices within their facility. Holistic care includes both routine medical treatments as well as many alternative treatments. The idea is to treat the patient in a way that will help them to heal as a whole—mind, body and spirit. Counseling is provided to assist with spiritual healing, acupuncture and massage are provided to assist with physical healing, and exercise programs are offered to increase energy, boost mood and promote overall healing. Medical care is provided for any underlying mental health conditions or physical ailments that the individual may have in addition to the addiction itself.

Christian rehab is another specialty pill rehab program that helps patients to heal on a spiritual point in addition to a physical and emotional point. Christian rehab programs offer patients the ability to connect with others that share in similar beliefs pertaining to the Bible and Christianity as a whole. Programs focus on separating from addiction and accepting God’s will for one’s self. These programs are most effective for those who are already spiritually involved in a church, those who were once spiritually involved or those who have an interest in becoming so.
